MIDA CREEK

8:30 AM Pick-up directly from your hotel, apartment, or villa. You will board a modern glass-bottom boat with a sun canopy, perfect for relaxing, sunbathing, or admiring the marine life beneath you. Snorkeling equipment, including masks, fins, and life jackets, is available for guests who need it.

The excursion begins with a cruise along the coast in search of dolphins before reaching the Watamu Marine Park. Here, we stop at the coral reef for snorkeling among colorful tropical fish and breathtaking underwater scenery. Guests who prefer not to snorkel can still enjoy the marine life comfortably through the glass-bottom boat.

The tour then continues towards Garoda Beach, where you will have time to swim and relax in crystal-clear waters.

After this stop, the boat heads towards Mida Creek, a beautiful natural reserve famous for its mangrove forests and rich wildlife. Inside the creek, it is possible to spot white herons, flamingos, storks, baboons, and many other species.

Lunch will be served on the unspoiled beach of Mida Creek (Sudi Island) and includes coconut rice, bread, grilled fish, lobster, prawns, octopus, and calamari.

Vegetarian, chicken, or meat options are available upon request.

After lunch, you can relax, explore the mangroves by canoe, or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before departing around 3:30 PM for the return trip to your accommodation.

SARDEGNA 2

8:30 AM Pick-up directly from your hotel, apartment, or villa. You will board a modern glass-bottom boat heading towards the marine park.

Snorkeling equipment (including masks, fins, and life jackets if needed) will be provided for those wishing to explore the reef. Guests who prefer to stay dry can relax on the boat, admire the fish through the glass bottom, or simply enjoy the sun.

The excursion continues towards the stunning sandbank known as Sardegna 2, located opposite the fishing village of Mayungu and visible only during low tide.

At low tide, long stretches of white sand emerge from the ocean, creating a breathtaking landscape reminiscent of the Maldives and the beaches of Sardinia

Here you can admire the coral reef, the crystal-clear waters with incredible shades of blue and green, and enjoy a truly unforgettable tropical setting. There will be time to swim, sunbathe, and relax while lunch is freshly prepared for you, including coconut rice, grilled fish, lobster, prawns, and tropical fruit.

After lunch, you can choose between relaxing on the beach or taking a walk along the sandbanks before returning by boat around 3:30 PM.

3:30 PM Departure by boat for the village/apartment.

Arrival back at your accommodation is expected around 4:00 PM.

MARAFA AT SUNSET

Half-day excursion to Marafa with sunset aperitif included.

3:00 PM Departure directly from your hotel, apartment, or villa towards Malindi, located about one and a half hours north of Watamu.

4:30 PM Arrival after a scenic drive through open landscapes, traditional villages, acacia forests, and majestic baobab trees

The tour continues on foot through the spectacular canyon valleys, discovering the extraordinary beauty of this unique place. At sunset, the landscape transforms as the warm colors of the sun blend with the deep red earth, creating an unforgettable and almost surreal atmosphere.

Guests who wish to bring clothes, biscuits, or small gifts for local children will have the opportunity to distribute them during the visit. This is one of the poorest areas in the region, and every gesture of support is greatly appreciated.

Return to your accommodation is expected around 8:00 PM.

CANOE EXCURSION
ON MIDA CREEK

ESCURSIONE IN CANOA
Canoe excursion through Mida Creek with sunset aperitif.

3:30 AM Departure from your hotel, apartment, or villa towards Golden Beach, where you can spend a relaxing morning by the sea. In the late afternoon, the excursion continues with a canoe tour through Mida Creek, a beautiful mangrove lagoon located near Watamu on the Kenyan coast, famous for its breathtaking sunsets and peaceful atmosphere.

4:30 PM Departure for the canoe excursion. You will paddle through the mangroves (sometimes aboard traditional dhow boats) surrounded by stunning natural scenery.During the tour, you may spot flamingos, herons, and many other migratory birds that inhabit the creek.

After the excursion, enjoy a sunset aperitif at the famous Crab Shack, a charming wooden restaurant suspended above the mangroves and connected by a panoramic walkway.

The view over Mida Creek at sunset is truly unforgettable!

EXCURSION
LOVE ISLAND

8:30 AM Departure from your hotel, apartment, or villa towards Golden Beach, where you will spend a relaxing morning by the sea.

Love Island is located in Watamu and takes its name from its unique heart-shaped sandbank.

This stunning location is known for its romantic atmosphere and breathtaking scenery. During low tide, you can walk through shallow crystal-clear waters, swim in the warm ocean, or simply relax under the sun.

The excursion is available either as a half-day experience or as a full-day experience including lunch. The seafood lunch includes grilled fish, lobster, prawns, coconut rice, and drinks.

For both options, pick-up and return transfer to your hotel or apartment are included.

EXCURSION
ROBINSON & MARAFA

Full-day tour combining Malindi, Golden Beach, Robinson Island, and the spectacular Marafa Canyon at sunset. Optional aperitif available.

8:30 AM Departure from your hotel, apartment, or villa towards Golden Beach, where you can relax and enjoy the morning by the sea.

11:30 AM Departure for Robinson Island, where lunch will be served at a local restaurant featuring crab, prawns, fresh fish, oysters, and coconut rice with tomato sauce.

3:30 PM We'll head to the Devil's Kitchen (located 40 km northwest of Malindi, about an hour's drive). We'll reach it by crossing large clearings, villages, and acacia forests. Once we reach the Devil's Kitchen (Marafa), you'll be able to admire the incredible colors of the geological depression.

Marafa was called "Nyari" by the natives, which literally means "the lonely place that breaks." A local guide will accompany you on a walking tour through the canyon, allowing you to fully experience its beauty from inside the gorge.

Return to your hotel or apartment is expected around 7:30 PM.

EXCURSION
GEDE RUINS

Half-day excursion to the Gede Ruins with a visit to a traditional Real Africa village. Sunset aperitif included.

2:30 PM Departure from your hotel, apartment, or villa.

Located just 7 km from Watamu, the Gede Ruins are the remains of a mysterious 12th-century Swahili village abandoned over 600 years ago.

Today, the site is part of Kenya’s National Museum heritage and is surrounded by lush indigenous forest, ancient baobab trees, and tamarind trees, creating a unique and fascinating atmosphere.

During the visit, you may spot Syke’s monkeys, the rare golden-rumped elephant shrew, and even owls hidden inside the ancient wells.

The Gede Ruins are among the most important Arab-African settlements found along the East African coast. These Swahili cities flourished during the 15th and 16th centuries, when trade routes connected East Africa with the Middle East and India. Experts believe that, at the height of its prosperity, Gede was home to around 2,500 people.

After exploring the ruins and experiencing the fascinating history of this ancient settlement, return to your accommodation is expected around 7:30 PM.

QUAD BIKE EXCURSION
ON MAMBRUI DUNES

ESCURSIONE IN QUAD
Quad bike adventure through the spectacular dunes of Mambrui, (also known as the Kenyan Dubai). Half-day excursion from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

3:30 PM Pick-up directly from your accommodation with private transport and driver. Your guide will already be on board.

Arrival at the Muslim village of Mambrui and transfer to the beach, where the quad bike staff will provide a full briefing and instructions on how to use the quad bikes.

Then the adventure begins: enjoy a fun ride through the stunning sand dunes!

The excursion includes 1 hour of quad biking per couple (one quad bike shared between two people), allowing you to explore the beach and dunes, take photos, record videos and enjoy the unique landscape.

At sunset, at the end of the excursion, an aperitif will be organized at a nearby local venue, with one drink included per person.

EXCURSION
BAOBAB EXPERIENCE

BAOBAB EXP
Baobab Dream House: an authentic experience in a local village in Mida Creek, featuring a Giriama Tribe cultural performance, a 6-hour tour, a sunset canoe ride with aperitif and dinner.
The excursion includes the marine park entrance fee and transportation by Tuk Tuk and motorbike, with round-trip transfers from Watamu.

Around 3:30 PM/4:00 PM expected arrival at Baobab.

You will be welcomed with fresh coconut by the staff, who will accompany you throughout the tour to discover the local culture and natural environment. The experience begins with a visit to the Giriama Spot, a local tribal community where you will learn about traditional customs and lifestyle through indigenous songs and dances.

The tour continues by motorbike through the nearby villages (those who wish to make donations will have the opportunity to support local children and families), with a stop at a local bar where you can discover, together with the inhabitants, the tradition of coconut wine.

You will then reach the mangroves , where you will be welcomed by the canoe captains and introduced to the importance of the Mida Creek ecosystem, its flora and fauna, as well as the tidal changes that shape this unique environment.

You will enjoy an approximately 2-hour canoe excursion, including a stop on an island to admire the sunset, plant mangroves and taste natural snacks. This will be followed by an evening walk through the mangroves back to Baobab, while enjoying the moonlight, the starry sky and the glow of fireflies.

The day will end with a set-menu dinner including tomato bruschetta, prawn skewers, octopus, grilled kingfish fillet or catch of the day, mixed grilled vegetables, rice with fresh vegetable sauce or coconut sauce, mixed tropical fruit, and water included.

Return to Watamu and surrounding areas is scheduled between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM.

EXCURSION
ARABUKO-SOKOKE

ARABUKO SOKOKE
Half-day tour of Arabuko-Sokoke National Park with a sunset aperitif.

Departure from your lodging in Watamu and direct transfer to the nature reserve. Arrival and meeting with our local nature guide. Welcome and official entry into the reserve to observe wildlife (rare birds, monkeys, and small mammals).

Afternoon safari-trek with a stop to observe elephants. We’ll stop at the watering hole, an ideal spot to observe the animals in their natural habitat.

We’ll then head to an elevated viewpoint (a picturesque clearing or other scenic location). Sunset toast with refreshing drinks and non-alcoholic beverages, accompanied by light snacks.
